Community Involvement

Giving Back to the Legal Profession and Our Community

Rooted in Oklahoma, Committed to Service

At Silverline Legal, we believe that the practice of law carries a responsibility that extends beyond our bottom line. Our attorneys are actively engaged in advancing the legal profession, expanding access to justice, and strengthening the communities where we live and work. From pro bono representation and legal education to civic leadership and professional development, service is woven into the culture of our firm.

Pro Bono and Access to Justice

USPTO Patent Pro Bono Program

Silverline Legal participates in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Patent Pro Bono Program through the Oklahoma City University School of Law. Through this program, our attorneys provide pro bono patent prosecution services to under-resourced inventors who otherwise could not afford to protect their innovations. We are proud to help level the playing field for individual inventors and small enterprises seeking to bring their ideas to market.

OCU School of Law: Law Clinic for Business and Innovation

Drew Palmer volunteers with the Oklahoma City University School of Law’s Collaborative Law Clinic, helping individuals and small business owners who cannot afford private counsel to search, file, and register trademarks. Protecting a brand is often one of the most important steps a new business can take, and this program ensures that financial barriers do not prevent entrepreneurs from safeguarding their intellectual property.

Legal Education

Adjunct Professors at OCU School of Law

Drew Palmer and Tynia McQuigg serve as adjunct law professors at Oklahoma City University School of Law, where they teach Trademark and Unfair Competition Law. Drawing on their day-to-day experience counseling clients in intellectual property matters, Drew and Tynia bring a real-world perspective into the classroom and help prepare the next generation of IP attorneys for the challenges of modern practice.
